Christmas-Part-1

So finally I am posting Christmas pictures. My computer has been sick and then I was sick and now I think it's Dylan's turn.
Here is Dylan on Christmas morning with his gift from Santa!!! A BIG boy bike!!! Just what he wanted!!!

Here he is "calling" Santa to thank him for his bike!! It was too cute and just melted my heart!!

Here is Dylan with his new computer from Mommy and Daddy.

Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Bergsten's house for lunch and also to open gifts. Dylan got a big red barn with animals. He LOVES it...we thought maybe Uncle Jason was going to run off with it!!!:-)

Saturday night we headed to Grandma Betty's. Here she is with all of her Great-Grandchildren.

3 Christmas' down and 2 more to go this weekend. Hope we start feeling better!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to you all!!! Sorry I don't have any pictures to share. Our computer is sick with a virus since Wednesday and not sure when we can get someone out to get it fixed.
Our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day church services were cancelled because of the snow/blowing snow. We went into Shane's grandpa's last night and barely made it home!! We had to drive through the field to get home, as the road was FULL of snow!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!!
Love, The Ohlde's:-)

Holiday Rewind

Was just looking through some pictures and came across some of Dylan from his first 2 Christmas'. Here he is at 5 months. Mom found this little suit on a garage sale. He looked soooooo cute!!!

Here is Dylan with one of his favorite people, cousin Kennedy. She would have been just 2 years old and 1 month. None of Miss Gentry...she still had a couple weeks before she was born.

This one is my favorite.....because of his outfit......and it was true. After 5 months of no sleep, that's all Mommy wanted!!!

Here he is last year.........

And on Christmas Eve last year, all dressed up. So cute. Amazing how much they change from year to year.

2009 Christmas picture coming at the end of the week!!!:-)

Feeling your pain

One of my favorite people and devoted blog readers, Aunt Eunice had to put down her beloved dog, Toby down this morning. Sorry I don't have a picture of him(I looked and looked and I know I have one of their old Christmas cards that he was in with his K-State gear on but I couldn't find it)!
Toby traveled to all of the KSU games with Steve and Eunice and even came back for family gatherings. It just won't be the same without him!!!
We have known this day was going to be coming but it sure doesn't make it any easier.
We will miss you Toby!! Thinking of you Aunt Eunice!!
We love you!!!:-)

Trip

Every early December we travel to Chicago for seed meetings. So this week we made it but just barely before all the snow hit!!! Shane's parents even made the trip this year after not going for a few years.
Here is my mother-in-law, hard at work. Yes, those are all her packages!!!:-) She had a very good day on Wednesday shopping. I made her pose in front of this pretty tree in Macey's.

Here I am taking a picture from the 3rd floor at Macey's. Their decorations are so beautiful!!!

Wednesday night Shane and I went out to dinner with another couple and had a wonderful time. It was an Itilian resturant and was sooo good. I think one of my favorites was the fried eggplant. I had never had eggplant before but it was soo good!!!
This picture is kind-of far away but stil a nice one!

Thursday we did some more walking around and shopping. We started out at Lego land. That airplane is made all of Lego's!!

And so is all of this. I just thought it was so neat.

And that is all the pictures I took!!! Yeah, I know.......I carried my big huge camera all the whole time and I only took those pictures.....sorry. Better than nothing I guess.
Have a great weekend!!!:-)

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas!!!!

We got the tree up last weekend...

And also Dylan's "football" tree in his bedroom...

Christmas cards ready to be put in the mail tomorrow...

The lights up.....well, as much as Dylan and I can do...

I thought our little Christmas tree ligths looked so cute outside glowing and with all the snow around them tonight.

I hate the cold as we can't go outside and play as much but I LOVE it when the tree is up and the snow is falling and my 2 favorite boys are inside with me!!!!

Deer season started this week, so Daddy has been leaving very early in the morning and not getting home until after dark. Dylan is use to seeing Daddy at least in the mornings if not at noon, so we have been missing Daddy this week!!!
At least he came home with this on Wednesday night......as Dyaln said...Wow Daddy, big buck!!!

Dylan was very impressed!!

Daddy, Uncle Randy, Cousin Josh and Kyle came for lunch today!! Chili soup and grilled cheese!! And also a little tackle football with Dylan!!!

Have a great weekend!

We did it!!!

We have been planning my Mom's SURPRISE 50th birthday party since this past summer. I guess I always thought some where along the way she would catch on. But, she didn't!!! We planned to get our family picture taken last night down at our church(where the party was planned for) and we got her down there and walked her right up to the party. Opended the door and it took her a second to figure out what was going on, and I knew right then she had NO idea!!!
Here she is with all of her stuff on!!! My brother Jason found the walker!!! It was too funny!!!

We went down and set stuff up and decorated in the afternoon.......we had to tell her a few little lies about that!!!

Kate got the sign and the decorations, which all looked great!!!

The kids had a BALL!!! Here are Kennedy and Dylan!!!

And so did the BIG kids!!! Here is Uncle Jason with the kids!!!

What a great party!!!
Happy 50th Mom!!!

So thankful..........

With Thanksgiving being tomorrow, it's a good time to stop and think about what we are all thankful for....
Very thankful for family...especially Grandma's.........

and cousins that we LOVE to play with....

Friends that understand what you are going through and are always there....

For people that start out as friends and end up family........

For getting to wake up to these 2 cuties everyday.....

And for Daddy's who take their son to see the cows, so Mommy can clean up the lunch dishes........
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Party Time!!!

Yesterday we traveled south to state football games(Daddy stayed there all day) while Dylan and I headed south even more to go to Kennedy's 4th Birthday party!!! I can't believe she is 4!!!
Here she is with her cupcake, cake!! So cute and very good!!!

She even found a minute to sit with Aunt Ann to get her picture taken!!!

Kennedy got a huge doll house from Grandma and Grandpa Bergsten, so here is Dylan checking it all out.

Dylan slept through a little bit of the party, so he wasn't quite awake yet here(that why he's sitting on my lap!!!)!!!!

What a fun day!!! Glad we could help you celebrate Miss Kennedy!!! See you in a few days!!!

Lights ON!!!

Yep, you read it right.....after 4 days our power is back on!!! YEAH!!!! We were very happy to get to go home and very greatfull to my in-laws for letting us stay at their house!!! I'm sure they were ready to get rid of us!!!:-)
Here are some pictures from Monday(right before the power went off). I kept our secertary's little boy Daniel(he is 366 days older than Dylan). He was so good and I think they had a good time together. Dylan is the one on the left...kind-of hard to tell.

Dylan really enjoyed the snow!!

It was perfect snow for snowballs.

And a snowman!! I know, not a real great one but the boys liked it!!!

Here it is about mid-morning, snowing really hard!!

Have a great weekend!!! Sounds like it's going to be really nice!

Kaci

We are having a rough week at our house. Yesterday we had about 8 inches of heavy snow fall and we lost power around 11:00 A.M. as did many in our area. So we headed over to my in-laws for the night. We recieved word today that it's pretty bad and we may not have power for a week!!!! So we are at my in-laws tonight again. Thank goodness they have a generator!!!
And today we have some very sad news. Our dog Kaci( the one on the left), was put down. She hasn't been well for a couple month now. They think she had diabetes but weren't sure.

We adapoted her, I think in 2005 from a family down the street from my parents. They wanted her to go to a family in the country where she could run. Well, boy did she ever!! I just think she loved it out here with us. Her and our other dog Ginger would just run and run. Kaci would always bring something back with her....a rabbit, mouse or anything she could find to eat!! And this girl LOVED to eat!! She would eat anything I gave her, even lettuce!!!! And if you ever came to our house, she was the one that was always barking when you pulled up and whinned when you got out, as she wanted to be petted!!!
Kaci was a great dog and we are really going to miss her!!!

Hunter's Breakfast

This morning was our 5th Annual Hunter's Breakfast at church! I was in charge this year and had to be at church at 4:30 A.M.!!!
We had a great crew!!! Here is Jennifer and her oldest daughter, who was our scrambled egg maker!!! She is going to be 14 next week!! She did a great job with the eggs!!!

Marci(our pastors wife) was in charge of the hash browns. Something else I don't think I could have done!!

Here's Jennifer's other daughter keeping an eye on the gravy. We had 7 Junior High girls help out this morning and they all did such a great job.

Here are our warmers/crockpots all lined up ready for food and hunter's.

Our first hunter arrived at 5:45 A.M. and by 6:30 we had went through 6 dozens eggs and 55 cups of coffee!!!! So I had to run and get some more!!!!

We served around 70 people and took in over $500.00!!! So it was a very good morning!! And Dylan even let me get a nap in this afternoon!!!
