We did it!!!

We have been planning my Mom's SURPRISE 50th birthday party since this past summer. I guess I always thought some where along the way she would catch on. But, she didn't!!! We planned to get our family picture taken last night down at our church(where the party was planned for) and we got her down there and walked her right up to the party. Opended the door and it took her a second to figure out what was going on, and I knew right then she had NO idea!!!
Here she is with all of her stuff on!!! My brother Jason found the walker!!! It was too funny!!!

We went down and set stuff up and decorated in the afternoon.......we had to tell her a few little lies about that!!!

Kate got the sign and the decorations, which all looked great!!!

The kids had a BALL!!! Here are Kennedy and Dylan!!!

And so did the BIG kids!!! Here is Uncle Jason with the kids!!!

What a great party!!!
Happy 50th Mom!!!

So thankful..........

With Thanksgiving being tomorrow, it's a good time to stop and think about what we are all thankful for....
Very thankful for family...especially Grandma's.........

and cousins that we LOVE to play with....

Friends that understand what you are going through and are always there....

For people that start out as friends and end up family........

For getting to wake up to these 2 cuties everyday.....

And for Daddy's who take their son to see the cows, so Mommy can clean up the lunch dishes........
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Party Time!!!

Yesterday we traveled south to state football games(Daddy stayed there all day) while Dylan and I headed south even more to go to Kennedy's 4th Birthday party!!! I can't believe she is 4!!!
Here she is with her cupcake, cake!! So cute and very good!!!

She even found a minute to sit with Aunt Ann to get her picture taken!!!

Kennedy got a huge doll house from Grandma and Grandpa Bergsten, so here is Dylan checking it all out.

Dylan slept through a little bit of the party, so he wasn't quite awake yet here(that why he's sitting on my lap!!!)!!!!

What a fun day!!! Glad we could help you celebrate Miss Kennedy!!! See you in a few days!!!

Lights ON!!!

Yep, you read it right.....after 4 days our power is back on!!! YEAH!!!! We were very happy to get to go home and very greatfull to my in-laws for letting us stay at their house!!! I'm sure they were ready to get rid of us!!!:-)
Here are some pictures from Monday(right before the power went off). I kept our secertary's little boy Daniel(he is 366 days older than Dylan). He was so good and I think they had a good time together. Dylan is the one on the left...kind-of hard to tell.

Dylan really enjoyed the snow!!

It was perfect snow for snowballs.

And a snowman!! I know, not a real great one but the boys liked it!!!

Here it is about mid-morning, snowing really hard!!

Have a great weekend!!! Sounds like it's going to be really nice!

Kaci

We are having a rough week at our house. Yesterday we had about 8 inches of heavy snow fall and we lost power around 11:00 A.M. as did many in our area. So we headed over to my in-laws for the night. We recieved word today that it's pretty bad and we may not have power for a week!!!! So we are at my in-laws tonight again. Thank goodness they have a generator!!!
And today we have some very sad news. Our dog Kaci( the one on the left), was put down. She hasn't been well for a couple month now. They think she had diabetes but weren't sure.

We adapoted her, I think in 2005 from a family down the street from my parents. They wanted her to go to a family in the country where she could run. Well, boy did she ever!! I just think she loved it out here with us. Her and our other dog Ginger would just run and run. Kaci would always bring something back with her....a rabbit, mouse or anything she could find to eat!! And this girl LOVED to eat!! She would eat anything I gave her, even lettuce!!!! And if you ever came to our house, she was the one that was always barking when you pulled up and whinned when you got out, as she wanted to be petted!!!
Kaci was a great dog and we are really going to miss her!!!

Hunter's Breakfast

This morning was our 5th Annual Hunter's Breakfast at church! I was in charge this year and had to be at church at 4:30 A.M.!!!
We had a great crew!!! Here is Jennifer and her oldest daughter, who was our scrambled egg maker!!! She is going to be 14 next week!! She did a great job with the eggs!!!

Marci(our pastors wife) was in charge of the hash browns. Something else I don't think I could have done!!

Here's Jennifer's other daughter keeping an eye on the gravy. We had 7 Junior High girls help out this morning and they all did such a great job.

Here are our warmers/crockpots all lined up ready for food and hunter's.

Our first hunter arrived at 5:45 A.M. and by 6:30 we had went through 6 dozens eggs and 55 cups of coffee!!!! So I had to run and get some more!!!!

We served around 70 people and took in over $500.00!!! So it was a very good morning!! And Dylan even let me get a nap in this afternoon!!!

Fall Harvest.............

Which might become winter harvest before long!!! It seems like we have been harvesting forever!!! We all the rain and yucky weather we still aren't done harvesting beans!! We are hoping to get done tonight or tomorrow!!
Here is Shane in the combine we have rented.

Dylan was helping Daddy so that Mommy could get all the harvesters fed(a very important job!!)!!!!

Here is another one.....

You might have to look a little close on this one but Dylan is driving!!! He was so excited!!

This evening we had to help them move around a lot(we just have little patches left), so Mommy had to drive the header trailer and Dylan rode in the combine alot, and did great!!!
Have a great week!!!

My Football Player

I knew one of these day I would have a boy that liked to play football....I just didn't know it was going to happend so soon!!!
Grandma Walleta dug out my brother's football stuff from when they were little for her daycare boys to play with. So today when we were down for playgroup she got them out. Here's Dylan in his uniform!!

Here are the 3 football players and the cheerleader!!!
Weston- 3 1/2, Cole-3, Dylan-2 and Jorgia-3 And even though Dylan is the youngest by far, they are really nice to him and let him play!!

This is Dylan's favorite move......down....set....hut,hut!!!

Here they are taking a break because it was half-time!! The girls then decided to go out and perform!! It was so cute!!

Halloween-Part-2

We had such a fun time trick-or-treating on Saturday night. Dylan enjoys it more and more each year.
It was Cousin Amillia's first time........she was a chicken.

Hard to believe she is 11 months old today!!

Here we are at the wild Hays house in C.C.!! They had 261 trick-or-treaters. We met up with Kennedy and Gentry there. No smiles for Aunt Kelli that night!! Too much going on!!!

Here are 3 of my FAVORITE trick-or-treaters. It seems just like yesterday they were this size. So cute and quite!!!

But, it wasn't just yesterday it was more like 11 or 12 years ago. Here they are Saturday night. They pulled the old cicle and square out of retirement!!! But, they are still cute!!! Just bigger and louder!!!
