On to books........

Dylan got the newspaper read so he decided to start reading a John Grisham book tonight.....

Newspaper

We only get our local newspaper the Washington County News once a week, so Shane always comes home on his lunch break on Thursday's and reads it. Dylan not wanting to be left out today, deicded that he wanted to read it also!!!

Family Fun

Both of my brother's and their families were home this weekend. We had a family reunion
on my Mom's side of the family yesterday. It was great getting to spend time with the girls!!
Dylan had a wonderful time yesterday pushing the baby around and chasing Kennedy!!!

What a fun weekend we had. Now we just want it to warm up so we can play outside!!!!!!

Playdate

Dylan had a playdate today with our friend Janea!! It was kind-of a rocky start but they ended up having a great time!!!
Dylan started the "date" off by playing her some tunes on his panio.....as you can see she was real impressed!!

Then they had a little lunch of mac and cheese and milk!!!!

She's is just a doll!!!!!!!!!!!

And they ended the "date" with some snuggling on the couch!!!

Blankie

When Dylan was born we got a ton of really nice blankets. Many were ones people had made and they were just beautiful!!! I tried to get Dylan to take to one of these and have it be his "blankie" but I didn't have any luck. When I took Dylan to work with me my Mother-in-law brought up a blanket one day that use to be Uncle Shaun's. He didn't use it as a blanket but as a cover on his changing table, so this blanket is old and also has a slight urine smell to it.....but Dylan loves this blankie!!!
Here he is before nap today showing me his beloved bankie!!!!!

His favorite T.V. show is Blue's Clues and for Christmas Grandma Walleta got him Blue!! So now that also has to be in his crib with him.

And he also has to use this blanket to cover up with......it's one we got from Shane's Great-Aunt Lorna.

Dylan hasn't been feeling the best the past couple days so we went to the docotor today and they decided he needed to start breathing treatments!! So tonight we did it for the first time.





Of course Mommy said he would NEVER wear this mask but since Daddy put it on first Dylan decided it was pretty neat, so he put it on!!!

I thought he acted lots better today and didn't cough as much so hopefully we are on the road to recovery!!!

A Bun in the oven

But, not my oven!!!!! In Shane's older sister, Jolynn's!!! Jo and her husband are expecting their
first child together in early Sept. They live out in Colorado and have beeen married for 8 months!!

Silly Saturday

I thought I would share some silly/funny pictures today!!!





Now your probably wondering what makes this first picture so silly/funny....well, if you know my husband at all, you know that he not in the kitchen very often. So here is one of him mashing potatoes at Christmas for his Mom!!! Don't strain yourself Shane!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're back!!

We had meetings down south the past 2 days and Dylan stayed at Grandma Walleta's. It was a nice break and we enjoyed some good food & drinks........and I enjoyed some fun shopping with my mother-in-law but it's always nice to be back home especially since we came home to this....

I keep forgetting to post that Dylan had his 18 month well child check last week and this is how he stacks up..........

I can't believe how big my baby is getting!!!

Super Bowl Party

We had a super bowl party last night at our house. I think this is the 5th year in a row!!! We had 12 adults and 6 kids under 4!!! It was fun but man was I tired when it was over. I did get to watch the last 2 minutes of the game while I cleaned the kitchen, so that was nice!!!
My Dad smoked some ribs and pork for us. Boy, was it good. If you never need some meat, and live close to C.C. call my Dad!!! He does a great job........and he even delievers the food!!!!


And we also had cheesy potatoes..............

And no bake cookies..........and a ton of other stuff that was really good. Becca brought this wonderful dip...........I'm going to get the recipe and then will have to share it with everyone.

Shane's cousin Chad and his wife Libby have a little boy 3 months younger than Dylan and boy

they spell TROUBLE!!!! Here Dylan is taking a drink and then would pass it to Zac and he would take a drink and pass back.........this went on for quite a while. Too cute!!!
